    Yum. Best hash browns and cheddar biscuits! Found this place on a road trip. Delicious omelette too! Did not get a cinnamon roll but looked to die for! My only complaint is the use of plastic disposable containers for the jam and salsa.

    In the small town of La Grande Oregon, a gem of a breakfast stop is Joe & Sugar's Cafe. What they do right is to serve a limited menu of signature entrees.  Their specialty seems to be hollandaise sauce on (enter entree here)

    Consequently, at 9AM on Saturday, there was a waiting list for a table. (Secret: leave your name and phone, go next door to the pastry shop and have a cinnamon croisant, until you're called).

    I talked to the chef about the hollandaise sauce... all the right ingredients... and made in 5-6 cup batches.  Take it from me, she knows her stuff.

    Small town shops are so friendly and willing to please... this was no exception!

    The table layout needs work, only 8 tables, oversized for the space, with unused isle space... they'll fix that at some point.

    Otherwise, Joe & Sugar's is a find !

    Cute little breakfast place. Friendly staff! Quick service. Coffee was so so. The hot tea is delicious. Will definitely return soon.

    Simple, Classic, Fresh and Tasty! I would definitely recommend it. Small local place that was busy the whole time we were there. Everything was made to order. Self serve coffee was nice with a couple roasts to choose from.

    Talk about a wonderful way to start the morning. First time ever coming here, good coffee, and amazing food! The food exceeded my expectations!
